Today, Scotland decides it’s fate. It’s an occasion that deserves to be marked. Just under 7 percent of the population of the UK, over 4 million people, will have the opportunity to cast their vote. Do they think Scotland is better as part of the United Kingdom, or as an independent country? Have you ever been to a Scottish celebration of Hogmanay? They really know how to mark an occasion up there. It’s a great way to welcome in the New Year, and here’s my first video from this year’s events to show you why. Five Scottish pipe bands and 26 Up Helly Aa Vikings from the Shetlands lead over 35,000 people and 7,000 torches through the streets of Edinburgh up to Calton Hill in the Hogmanay Torchlight Procession 2012.…
